Brief Description of this Job

Ensuring that all SAB&T client base tax returns are submitted, follow-up on queries from SARS, and assisting the clients with their queries.

Application Requirements

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of tax laws
  • Knowledge of financial statements
  • Keep abreast of legislation/industry changes

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years working experience in a similar type industry
  • Computer Literate (MS Office)

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Certificate or Diploma in Taxation

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and completion of tax returns for companies, individuals and trusts
  • Calculation of directives and submission to SARS
  • Calculation of dividends tax and completion and submission of dividends tax returns
  • Liaising with clients and SARS regarding tax affairs
  • Attending to client queries and assisting in the resolution of queries and objections
  • Calculation of capital gains tax
  • Assisting with the structuring of salaries and calculation of tax
  • VAT and PAYE registrations with SARS
  • UIF and WCA registrations with the Labour Department
  • Completion and submission of UIF and WCA declarations with the Labour Dept.
  • Calculation, completion and submission of VAT201 and EMP201 returns
  • Completion and submission of IRP5 certificates and EMP501 returns on Easy-file
  • Application of tax clearances
  • Registrations of individuals, companies and trusts for Income Tax
  • Preparation and completion of Provisional tax for individuals
  • PBO and NPO registrations
  • General compliance/administrative duties
